No mans land...

So whose idea was it to put New Year so close to Christmas?

It's bad enough that I have to do so much thinking for a singular day in december, but i'm then expected to be ready for New Year less than a week later! I seriously dont even know what day it is right now, yet soon, people are gonna be expecting me to know that we're in 2009! What happened to 2008?

I'm guessing the key to ths end of year malarky is to prioritise one over the other. This year i opted for Christmas, partly because it was first in line but mainly because I completely forgot about New year.
So what was 2008 all about then?

First black president of The United States of America, Barack Obama!
The Olympics!
Worlds first pregnant bearded (wo)man!
New Kids On The Block reformed!!! Woo!

So many wonderful memories, it makes me wonder how I ever managed to contain myself this year. How can 2009 ever manage to top 2008? Well were off to a shaky start. Experts are predicting that 2009 is set to become one of 5 of the hottest years in history! Now at the moment I can appreciate the idea of a bit of warmth but we all know what will happen when it gets here...(cue moaning).
